This summer, during her time in Alsace—the traditional land of hop growers and brewers—Camille Doucet conducted an exploratory study on the redox potential of hops. This innovative indicator of the plant’s physiological state also marked the beginning of the first calibration measurements for Nutriscope™ in hop cultivation. Working entirely independently, this groundbreaking study ventured into uncharted territory: on one hand, hops represent a minor crop (~730 ha in 2023), and on the other, the measurement of redox potential has only recently been explored in agronomy (see the work of Olivier Husson), with no prior studies focused on hops.
